New Condenser Technology

Condenser technology has evolved dramatically over the past 10 to 15 years. Designs have changed from a round “tube and fin” design to a flat tube design, which improves efficiency. Four Seasons employs the latest technology developments from the O.E., including micro and mini-micro-extruded tubes. These new tube designs cannot be flushed successfully because of the small passages. Don't take a chance with flushing. Always replace the condenser when a compressor fails to ensure the A/C system doesn't quickly become contaminated again.

It is strongly recommended condensers be replaced on vehicles newer than 2002. When the condenser is changed, the refrigerant capacity may also change and a charge level adjustment may be necessary.

*Proper Airflow: The condenser and radiator must have adequate airflow. Poor airflow is a common cause of premature compressor failure and poor system performance. Check: Fan clutch and cooling fan operation, and condenser fins for damage or debris, missing air dams or shrouds.
